In April 2018 we had the awnings out and a gust of wind came and the metal polls snapped in half and the one of them completely flew over our deck into the tree. Both awnings were damaged. The censer that automatically rolls them up did not work or at least did not work in time to roll them up. They came out and rolled them up manually for us and told us to \"make a claim on our homeowners insurance.\" This did not go over well with me. My husband called \"Valerie\" she never returned his call. I spoke to Heather, customer service manager, she was very mouthy, never would let me talk and explain. I left a message for the owner Phillip to call me, never returned my call. Heather told me that Phillip \"will probably not return my call because he is very busy.\" Why would you say that to a customer? The company was not about to help in any way, didn't give a crap at all. Said it was \"an act of God.\" How do they know that? Never came out to inspect. Never took the polls to see if there was a defect, etc. Gave us quotes to repair or replace at another very expensive cost. Had to end up filing a claim with insurance company and in order to get our full cost back I had to get a hold of the manufacturer which said that they couldn't or shouldn't be repaired (we had taken a video and several pictures.)
