. . "I was in the market for a new car on short notice because my old car died without warning. I read many good things about Subaru vehicles, and thought that I would check them out. I stopped by Camelback Subaru after work one day. I was interested in two of the models available in their lot.\n\nAs was expected, after several minutes where I could scope out the vehicles in the lot in peace, I was dragged into the office by a staff member (I believe it was Dennis). I was surprised at the line of questioning that started our conversation. Instead of asking what vehicles I was interested in, he went off on a different tangent talking about finances. He wanted to know what monthly payment I wanted to make. What kind of question is that? He also asked how much down payment I was going to make. This situation was all backwards. Either it did not look like I could buy a new vehicle, or this is this dealership's way of dealing with customers. He was trying to guide me towards a used vehicle. I kept trying to point out that I was more interested in whether I was comfortable in the vehicle rather than the price (I could have purchased any vehicle in the lot), but he kept pushing the financial part of the process.\n\nI was limited on time, and did not have patience for the game that they were playing, so I thanked him and walked out of the dealership. Maybe other Subaru dealerships do not engage in the tactics above, but I did not have time to drive to another Subaru dealership to find out.\n\nI do not recommend this dealership."^^ .
