"I stumbled on the review by Katherine and I have to admit I have some bias here as we (our small firm) Amjo Corp (www.homephototherapy.com) has been a distributor for NBC (National Biological Corp) for nearly ten years.\n\nUltraviolet Phototherapy in the eyes of Medicare and private insurance companies such as Blue Cross, Aetna, Humana, United Healthcare to name some of the biggies see us (UV Phototherapy Companies) as a tiny proportion of the total claims they process. I would guess that Ultraviolet Phototherapy is probably a very small fraction of what these large organizations work with everyday. Virtually every claim process requires that we educate the rep at the insurance company because our call about phototherapy is probably the only call that that insurance company employee will have this year.\n\nThis does lead to frustration at times and it's not always possible to hide one's grumpiness about the insurance company from the customer on the phone. I have no idea who Katherine talked with at NBC but I know for sure that her experience is really unusual. NBC employees as a group are very well trained and what Katherine describes is far from the norm. NBC is the world's largest maker of UV Phototherapy products and has been building and selling systems for nearly 50 years.\n\nSome customers expectations cannot be met and I believe this is what happened here.\n\nI'm going to go back to rating restaurants as that's more fun!"^^ .
