I generally go to Butter Beauty Parlour for such things but thought I would switch it up and try something new. \n\nBig mistake.\n\nUpon walking in, I was asked to choose one of their 7 signature styles - I chose 'pillow talk', which was loose beachy waves. Someone washed my hair and delivered me to my stylist Alanna's chair. Right away, Alanna started chatting while blowing my hair dry, did not put any product in, and when I told her that there was nothing in my hair, she added a few sprays of leave in conditioner (I have long, straight, fine hair and it NEEDS product in order to hold curl). I have never had stylist not put product in my hair prior to blowing it out. \n\nBy this point the \"chatting\" was completely one sided, she was telling me everything from her problems with her mother to her alcoholic family drama. It was completely unprofessional and I could not get a word in edgewise. She proceeded to curl my hair with the worst technique I have ever seen, leaving crimped frizzy ends and recurling the same pieces over and over again until they were fried and limp. It was a mess! Nevermind the sloppy attempt at back combing that resembled a birds nest on the back of my head. All finished off with a helmet of hairspray. In no way did it resemble the signature style I had chosen.\n\nIt took her well over an hour to make a complete mess of my hair, even though the appointment was scheduled for 45 minutes. I was fuming by the end and just wanted to get myself out of there as soon as possible so I could brush out my hair in the car and try to make myself look presentable before the wedding. \n\nOverall, Blo is sloppy, unprofessional and disappointing. There was no indication that their staff are even licensed hair stylists. Definitely avoid and go to Butter instead.\n\nI won't be back."^^ . . "0"^^ . "2014-06-01T00:00:00"^^ .
