It's not surprising the treatment that I received after reading the reviews on this place and the owner. I too would give him zero stars if it were an option. Our vacuum is in the process of biting the dust (pun intended) and I always prefer to do business with local establishments. Spending money locally has an economic impact much greater than spending money at a major corporation or especially on line. \n\nIn the past, I have bought parts and bags from this establishment and have not had or seen any problems. However, I went into the store to look at new vacuum cleaners. The guy, I presume is this Larry that everyone is commenting on, came out from the back after I came into the store. I told him that I was looking for a new vacuum cleaner and he asked what price range I was looking at. I suggested under $200 and he showed me one for just under that amount. He demonstrated the suction on the unit and I got out my phone to take a picture of it to send to my wife thinking that if she liked it, I would just end my search there and buy this one. He immediately stopped me and said that there were to be no pictures taken in the store. I asked why and he told me that this is a mom and pop operation. What does that have to do with not allowing pictures to be taken? Is he paranoid about industrial espionage? What is this, a top secret vacuum cleaner store. I always use my cell phone camera to shop and keep a record of what I have been looking at and have often just texted a pic to my wife just so she could see it and made a purchase in just one trip. \n\nAt any rate, he wrote the model number down on a yellow sheet of paper with the stores information on it and handed it to me. I then asked him what model that he had that he would recommend that would be the next step down in price. Well for some reason, this was the Niagara Falls questions...slowly I turn, step by step and he kicked me out of the store. Actually, he told me to come back when I was serious about buying something. WOW... how does he ever make any sales? What is wrong about asking for another option. I simply put the yellow sheet back on the counter and left, never to return\n\nI run a small business and I know that one dissatisfied customer will tell their friends and family about the experience. In fact, at the gym, I spoke to a woman and related my story and she lives in the area and knew exactly who I was talking about. She said that he is famous in her neighborhood for this crap. and said her neighbors do as well. That demonstrates that word of mouth can have a powerful impact on a business...both positive and negative. Sorry, but the \"Soup Nazi\" analogy does not work for me. This guy is above and beyond. I did find a similar vacuum, the same brand online at about the same price,"^^ . "12"^^ .
