The visit is free with my CMU ID, but I don't get here as often as I want to.\n\nWhile this museum isn't as large as say the Metropolitan Museum of Art or The Art Institute in Chicago, it does pretty well. You can see some names you will recognize, like Monet's Water Lilies or a Gerhard Richter painting. Plus, they often feature Pittsburgh artists in the rotating exhibits. This museum is a very friendly size wise and can be done with a few solid hours. \n\nThis museum does get a weird crowd. There are a lot of people who seem to come but have no interest in seeing the museum. They just sit and talk without looking at the art. That part is really weird. The other weird thing is the limited hours. The museum is never open past 5 on a weeknight, which is problematic. Even having one late night per week would be good.\n\nThere are some great exhibits here, and the CMOA should not be missed."^^ . "11"^^ . . . "8"^^ .
