The ARL did a poor job at checking my cat out at the vet before putting him up for adoption. He had severe terminal cancer all over his body, certainly before we adopted him. At the time of his death, he couldn't jump or walk anymore and couldn't eat any food. He also developed an oozing sore in his abdomen which led to his vital organs. The adoption papers said he was 100% healthy, the vet we took him to said that was ridiculous. The vet that checked my cat out at ARL obviously neglected his ailments and they decided to let him die and suffer, instead of giving him the help he needed. I went though unnecessary personal suffering and trauma because of this adoption. I thought that I was going to be giving my cat a home for another good couple years, not that I would have to put him down 3 months later, and watch him die in my arms. I would suggest finding another shelter that adequately checks out their animals before putting them up for adoption. I will never be adopting from here again."^^ . "2017-03-03T00:00:00"^^ . "1"^^ . .
