"I'm not entirely sure if this listing reflects Amazon itself, a specific Support Center, or in the case of one review, a place to direct pent-up rage against the shipping companies they use.\n\nFor me, I see it as an excuse to spout off my opinions about Amazon as a whole.\n\nIn some ways, it's amazing to watch how far they've come. I've been an Amazon member since the late 90s, when they were primarily known as an online bookstore, despite selling many other items. \"Amazon Prime\" - which people refer as if it's the actual business name for some odd reason, has actually been around since my college days in 2005.\n\nFor the most part, I like Amazon. They offer decent customer service and aside from a few rare exceptions, usually deliver my items both timely and safely. The whole third-party purchasing can be confusing to some, so be sure you look closely upon checkout. Not everything you purchase will come directly from Amazon unless you double-check the source.\n\nI do miss the early days when we would get away with not paying taxes, which came particularly in handy with my high-end gadgetry. There was also a time when I would purchase practically anything on a whim with two-day shipping, even if the item cost as little as five bucks. These days, those cheap items must typically be bulked together in one purchase in order to offset the shipping cost, which kind of puts a damper on the convenience of Prime shipping.\n\nIf you're a seller, be sure to behave yourself. Sometimes, even the slightest error can easily result in your account being banned. I had to spend several hours putting together multiple drafts of a legitimate \"improvement plan\" to help restore my girlfriend's account after an inventory mix-up.\n\nTheir return policy is decent, but don't get too comfortable. I've received a few e-mails from customer service over the years, calling attention to the fact that I've returned a high number of items (e.g. 3 out of 75 items in six months, apparently?) Anyway, I've read numerous horror stories of customers being permanently banned from using Amazon because of returns, so I try to keep my purchases restricted to \"low-risk\" items that I'm certain that I'll keep. It's for this reason that I'd never buy clothes from them.\n\nMinor complaints aside, there's a reason why they're so popular. And as long as they continue delivering my items on time at prices similar to what I can obtain at traditional retail stories, I'll continue using them."^^ . . "2017-03-18T00:00:00"^^ . . "0"^^ .
