They were just opening, but much to my delight, I wasn't the only first timer here, as a couple walked in a few moments before me to try out some desserts.\n\nAs I walked up to order, the cashier (Chris) could sniff out that it was also my first time here. He offered a sample, which turned out to be three samples: beet salad, potato salad, and gravlax (cured salmon). All three were great, and I almost asked for another sample or two to curb my hunger (I decided to save the puppy eyes for Costco).\n\nI ended up getting a small order of poutine (always wanted to try) and the tunnbrodsrulle to go. Apparently, this was a lot of food, as Adam (who prepared the sample) warned me before I told them that it was my final answer. This boy is still growing!\n\nChris asked me how I had heard about Beaver Choice, and I mentioned Yelp. He, and the rest of the family, were very happy to hear this, and told me that business was starting to pick up due to feedback from Yelp and UrbanSpoon. I was glad, and told them I'd see them next time (and I meant it!).\n\nWhen I got home, I immediately popped open the poutine and scarfed it down. The fries, gravy and cheese curds blended together nicely, and the next time I go drinking, I'll be thinking about a plate of steaming poutine, as gross as that sounds!\n\nI unwrapped the tunbrodsrulle, and I sank into my chair at the sight of it. Maybe I should have listened to Adam? I ended up finishing about 1/5th of it before I decided to pack it away for a later meal. It's a very different wrap from what I've had before, but, like the poutine, it blended together nicely.\n\nThe next time you are trying to decide what to eat, make your way here for a little variety in your life. The family will make you feel welcome (they have tables for dining in), they will offer you samples, and they will even warn you if they think you are ordering way too much food.\n\nThe only choice is a Beaver Choice!"^^ . .
