I told himwhat I did and didn't want and he brought out the best matches so I could easily decide one one right away. He also had sample swatches of two different grades of the carpet I liked FedEx'd to me right away to help decide. I checked into prices offered by the big stores (Lowe's and Home Depot.) When all the extra charges were added on, like moving the bed, carpet take away and even the padding!, they couldn't match Mike's price. Part of Mike's added appeal was having someone I knew could be reached on the phone IF there was a problem. And the fact that the installers were guys who Mike had worked with for years and years was a plus. With the bigger stores, you get whoever is the sub-of-the-month that you may not see again.
