"I walked by the restaurant more than 5 years ago when I witnessed from the window one of the employees drop a bbq chicken wing on the floor, pick it up and place it back in the bbq meat display cabinet as if nothing happened. After that, I vowed never to come here, but after 5+ years, I figured I should try it at least once... \n\nI kept seeing glowing reviews here about the great char-siu wong (bbq pork king). I see comments like the best in GTA, so I had to try it out. At $28 for the made-to-order char-siu dish, I was expecting something that would be on par with the best. Sadly, I've had better bbq pork from fast food take out places (Richlane, Kum Hong BBQ, etc...). It was slightly cold, suggesting they just warmed it up. The edges were burnt, but the outer layer wasn't crispy. They put way too much honey making it too sweet. Worst of all, the pork wasn't very tender. Was quite disappointed... \n\nThe bbq pork at Skyview fusion (Woodbine and Hwy 7) is way better. Also I would say the one at Dragonboat is also better. Heck, even the two fast food bbq places I mentioned are better. This place is also quite expensive, especially considering the food is not that great and the place is very rundown. \n\nOh, and this place has got to be the only BBQ place I've seen where the meat in the display cabibet looks completely unappetizing! The cold char-siu has been sitting there all day and is all shriveled up from rigamortis. Very likely been dropped on the floor few times as well! \n\nShould have trusted my gut instinct from 5 years ago and never tried this place... Not coming back."^^ . . . "0"^^ .
