I came here with my family for a cake tasting last month and was immediately taken in by the positive energy of Jessi, who owns the bakery with her mom. \n\nThe second thing I noticed was the gorgeous decor - simple, elegant, deliberately white to showcase the beauty of their pastries, macarons, and of course cakes. \n\nBut the real star of the show were the cakes themselves. We tried every flavor Ruze had to offer and loved all of them. Even my dad, who never eats sweets, chowed down because they were that delicious. \n\nOur favorite was the strawberry shortcake (an almond cake with fresh strawberries!) which will be our wedding cake! Also enjoyed the coconut and lemon raspberry. Their regular and Swiss meringue buttercream were simply divine.\n\nThose last two flavors we decided to order for my bridal shower cake and cupcakes, which were incredible. All the guests kept asking where we ordered them. Jessi was so kind and accommodating as we placed a rather last minute and large order (during holiday season to boot) but she went above and beyond to make everything look perfect. \n\nIf you or anyone you know is in the market for a wedding cake (or custom cake/cupcakes for any occasion), this ought to be your first and only stop. Wedding prices start at $6/slice which is a little higher than some other bakeries but you will be hard pressed to find this level of taste and artistry anywhere else.
