"What a surprise that I would actually be writing a review to endorse this place, but here we go.\n\nMy wife goes to try this place out for her and her aunt to get a workout in. She comes back from the first class as a member, and starts attending twice a week, raving about how awesome it is. She was going for a few weeks when she asked if I wanted to join her for a weekend workout. I reluctantly say yes, as I feel this is some sort of girly thing to do. I spend my time with CrossFit or at a gym lifting some weights, generally.\n\nSo, I show up to give it a try anyway. First thing, employees are super welcoming. My wife asks if I can try out a class with her and they say OF COURSE! Ask me if I have ever done anything like this before- no, I tell them. I do man things, I think to myself.\n\nThey get me some wraps and wrap up my hands for me. Ok, now I'm a little intrigued. They show me some gloves and tell me that we are about to start, but warmup is without gloves.\n\nAnd... BOOM. The workout starts with a Shaun T Insanity-type of warm-up. Lots of legs and core, getting the heart rate going. I'm already barely keeping up, but the intensity is pretty awesome.\n\nAfter the warm up, a short stretch, and then we get to the real deal. Put the gloves on and the seriousness hits the fan. You and your heavy bag get to workout together for the bulk of the time on a set of punches and kicks (for the kickboxing class) for several boxing rounds. While the combos are a little tough to figure out at first, it really is pretty simple- usually 4 to 6 punches at time and they will guide you even if you never hit anything ever in your life. \n\nDuring the round, the instructor comes to each person and has them complete the combo as a boxing trainer would. Lots of fun and quite a workout. Between each round, the instructor shouts out some ridiculous thing to do while you get ready for the next combo- like burpees, or push-ups, or plank or something. \n\nAt the end, you have a short but intense core workout that will really challenge you, and then a cool down stretch. \n\nThe verdict- it is intense and awesome. Amazing core and cardio workout. Signed up for my membership afterwards and find myself in there at least 3 days a week, more if I am able. \n\nCost is super reasonable. You don't need to buy your own gloves- you can use their loaners, but I had to get my own after just a few sessions- if nothing more than for me feeling like the real deal- even though I am nothing that, in any way, resembles a boxer.\n\nIn addition to unlimited classes for your membership, they have a gym of weight and cardio equipment for you to come in and use any time.\n\nAll the instructors are super awesome. They are all experienced fighters, but you would barely know it as they don't sit there the whole class showing off or bragging or anything- they are super humble and spend the whole time during class focused on the members.\n\nGive this thing a test run. I am sure they will let you drop in for a free class. Chances are that it will \"hook\" you, too. \n\nEven if you workout somewhere else, this is a perfect cardio/core supplement. If you don't workout anywhere else, this place is all you really need."^^ . .
