"When we come to Tempe/Phoenix we are always excited to come check out Cornish Pasty. The place is usually dark & loud, which is definitely the atmosphere of this place (modeled to sorta feel like an old mine, without the coal dust). If you're looking for a brighter quieter place go to the library. Their pastys are freaking amazing. I think we've tried about 10 of them on the menu so far & our favorites are the Pilgrim & Roast dinner. The Pilgrim comes with a cranberry sauce that is super delicious with a red wine gravy style sauce that is also super delicious! The Roast Dinner comes with a creamy white sauce (still not sure what it is) and a red wine gravy sauce. We also like to get the sticky toffee pudding for dessert, if they have any available. If you like sweet super moist, rich, sorta carry desserts definitely try this. They some times serve it with ice cream, sometimes just cream, sometime both. The most recent time we were there we had both and it was so delicious (I think I like sticky toffee pudding with ice cream the best because it helps to cool it down & makes it even more sweet, but not sickly or overwhelmingly sweet). The only downside is the last two times we've come in they are out of hot tea. This time they were out of lemonade, but were able to 'find a tea bag in the back'. A British style restaurant out of tea? If this was London they would riot. This food is always delicious, atmosphere is unique, service can be a bit slow sometimes (that's because they're always busy in the evenings when we come), and bring a bag of tea just in case."^^ . . . .
