"I'm baaack. Wow this place was really good 7/15/2015 for dinner. Last time I ate here was Thanksgiving week 2014; missed it on my previous Vegas visit Feb. 15-17, but not on this trip. Every time I go to Vegas I enjoy the fresh seafood and prime rib here at the Rio Seafood Buffet. Lobster was again more rock lobster than Canadian red lobster, but I won't get too picky as I enjoyed both. Though, I think they used ab Old Bay type seafood seasoning. On all my previous visits I really can taste the sweetness of the Canadian lobster tails. Also, I say \"Canadian\" as that's how they described it in Nov. 2014, but I believe these are Maine or American lobster from the East Coast (Homarus americanus). I give it 5 stars because the food, service, ambiance has always been top-notch THROUGH THE YEARS. \n\nRice-based dishes were also exceptional, as in the jambalaya and the Mexican paella type dish. Just brimming with salinity and brine. Clams, fish, squid, all in a pleasing mix; the only thing that could top it would be if you were by the seashore. \n\nPrime rib as good as it can be: I always have a good slice here. Just right in seasoning, you could have it rare or medium rare. Dessert never disappint in quality and quantity. The gelato bar is one of the highlights of this buffet. The waiter who helped me was also friendly and chatty and told me to be careful of the cab drivers and know when they are trying to rip you off - as in, know the layout and locations in Vegas.\n\nNext time I want to compare this to the Aria buffet. But for 9 years running for me, the RIO seafood buffet is the best buffet in Vegas!"^^ . . "1"^^ . "2015-07-30T00:00:00"^^ . . . "5"^^ . "5"^^ . "3"^^ .
