His MO was to blame his manager which he did three times during our phone calls and face-to-face interaction.\n\nI discourage others from using Yelp to book through this company - it isn't worth the hassle. There was a scheduling snafu where Yelp booked me for the wrong weekend and date. There is very little confirmation when checking out,\nor maybe I was in a hurry - either way when I called Adrian at Escape Hour I needed to reschedule. Adrian refused to hold a room (which was already booked AND paid for through Yelp but hadn't yet appeared as paid to him via his system. Credit card company confirmed but he refused to believe me.) for longer than 12 hours, blaming his manager's lack of flexibility. Luckily the confirmation appeared on his end shortly after our conversation and he confirmed the date and time, noting that he had rescheduled as I'd requested. He mentioned then that his manager doesn't typically approve of these types of adjustments. Ok - we get it. \n\nWhen our group of 7 arrived at Escape Hour it was obvious that Adrian never rescheduled our room from one week to the next, as we agreed he would do after receiving confirmation of payment. Adrian was at he front desk and remembered speaking with me - but for the life of him he couldn't locate my name, my booking, no details of my request. He simply booked another group in our place. He blamed his manager for that as well. Our group of 7 morphed with the other scheduled group to become a group of 15 that night. We had more than enough cooks in the kitchen.\nAnd now I'm the jerk who scheduled the shitty date night. Yay - thanks Adrian. \n\nBeware working with this guy - he will throw others at Escape Hour under the bus in a heartbeat and won't take ownership. Escape Hour is slow to allow reschedules or adjustments - even if the issue was no fault of your own.\n\nThe room itself wasn't bad. It just wasn't as exciting as the website implies and the obvious glaring issue is the customer service - a major red mark for them. I look forward to trying other escape rooms in the Charlotte area as I've heard the experience is better at other locations."^^ . "2"^^ . .
