These old hotels are for people who don't plan to be in the hotel all day. You will Not get the luxuries of the Venetian but it will serve its purpose. Rooms are clean, buffet is amazing and affordable  the 24hr subway is clutch after a night of drinking. Hotel is ideal for price conscious traveler. It's a $5 uber form the main strip and right across the street from the Palms. Give it a shot if you're looking for something simple.
