Thanks to Chris, our waiter, and their Cucumber Martinis it was one of the more delightful, delectable dinners of recent times.\n\nI attended with a good friend of mine who has ALWAYS raved about their cucumber martinis. Each time I would go out to eat with him at ANY restaurant he would ask for a cucumber martini in hopes of finding a place that could make one half as good as Nobu. He kept failing at that mission. I was made to try each time he got one and always ended up chasing the taste with a glass of Rieslings or whatever I was drinking at the time. I am, by no means, a martini fan. That was until I FINALLY had a cucumber martini at Nobu. If a drink could be described as refreshing and light, this would be the one. I had 3 that night and would've had more if I wasn't in 5\" heels and thought I'd break my ankle if my drunky self tripped.\n\nMy friend, smartly left the decision of choosing items up to our waiter, Chris, and am I thankful to Chris's knowledge of the menu and checking in with us on what was to our liking and not. From what I remember of the evening we had:\n\nSpicy Miso Lotus Chips with Big Eye Tuna-Delicious\nBlack cod with miso in a lettuce wrap-Delightful\nYellowtail Sashimi with Jalape\u00F1o-Awesome\nCalifornia Roll-Too full to eat\nSome sort of mac & cheese dish with shrimp-Underwhelmed\n\nNot only did I enjoy myself, my food, my company, and my waiter, but it was a great place for people watching. My friend and I spent half the time chatting about topics pertaining to us and the other half commenting on the people we observed and conversations we overheard.\n\nI will DEFININTELY come back to Nobu when in town or when in a city one is located in. Viva la Nobu!"^^ . .
