The ambiance was excellent (an old, renovated house that was decorated nicely). The service was pretty good (young college-aged people).\n\nIf you're going to charge premium prices ($9-$15) for traditional Vietnamese fare (pho, grilled steak with rice, egg rolls), at least spice it up with premium ingredients.\n\nI was hijacked for $7 on egg rolls, for what arrived as two egg rolls sliced diagonally in an attempt to substitute presentation for value. Typically for $5-$6, you get 5-6 egg rolls. The ingredients \\ end product I received was nothing special.\n\nThe pho was mediocre at best. The noodles were fresh, the beef (all 4 pieces of it) was pretty thick. The broth was lackluster. The bowl it was served in was definitely nice. For the $9 it cost, it was definitely lacking in both volume and quality.\n\nIf you are looking for an intimate, seemingly adventurous place to take a date, this place would be decent. If you're looking for authentic, delicious Vietnamese place, it should be a last resort."^^ .
