"2009-01-05T00:00:00"^^ . "Goathland is a lovely little village a few miles out of Whitby. It has a real old fashioned train station (used in Harry Potter) and there are regular steam trains passing through that you can take a ride on. The village itself is the base for ITV's Heartbeat, I first came here many years ago when it had just started being filmed and it was a lovely village..it still is but it's an awful lot busier nowadays! The garage is permanently set up like a Heartbeat shrine and is just across the street from the 'Aidensfield Arms' The are some lovely walks Beck Hole is worth a ramble to. Plenty of parking is available and several shops tooselling everything Heartbeat related that you could imagine! Mind out for the sheep though...they wander along the streets munching the grass."^^ .
