I have a daughter with high functioning autism who loves to dance. She had a hard time making friends and finding teachers who \"got her.\" Other studios had competitive dance teams but nothing for my daughter who loved to perform but wasn't interested in competitive dance. I am so thankful I stumbled upon the Dance Loft during an internet search for performance dance teams. Our first time at the studio was for their \"Hype\" auditions and we have been there ever since. This is our fifth year dancing with The Dance Loft. After years of watching my daughter struggle to fit in, I was so moved to watch the way she was embraced by her Hype team. The teachers were always so sweet, encouraging, and supportive. We never encountered the stereotypical \"dance mom\" culture. The families were always so fun to be around. I believe that is directly correlated to the leadership of the studio. The studio owners have done an amazing job of establishing a positive climate. The teachers are skilled at their craft and have a passion for teaching. They care about the dancers and celebrate even the smallest victories. \n\nI have two other daughters who spend over 10 hours a week at the Dance Loft. I feel that I have paid for so much more than dance lessons. The dance instruction they receive is top notch. But, even more than that is the way the instructors care about my girls. I have seen teachers help with homework. I have observed teachers give pep talks when one of my girls is having a rough day. I have watched their teachers continually pour into them and encourage them. I have watched my girls build friendships and bonds that have lasted through the years. I have been amazed to watch self-confidence blossom and perseverance strengthen. Thank you, Dance Loft. Thank you for being a safe place that we trust implicitly with our girls."^^ . "6"^^ . .
