. "3"^^ . "I have never written a review on yelp before but this is something I feel so passionate about that I feel like something needs to be said. I am pretty soft spoken on everything but I feel like the community needs some honest facts. \n\nI went to the Cheerful Vet for two years up until recently. I must say that Dr. Heaslet and staff were very nice and \"cheerful\" however, The Cheerful Vet is VERY pricey. \n\nMy first appointment with her she criticized me for letting my cat to be both an outside and inside cat.\nEach and every appointment I had with her she criticized me for feeding my cat \"Friskies\" cat food and then tried selling me the food they sell in the office. (The cat I had growing up was an inside and outside cat who ate Friskies and lived to be over 16 years old. Just saying...)\n\nDr. Heaslet also told me I needed several tests ran on my cat (which ran over 300 dollars) when I brought my cat in for what appeared to me to be weight loss. I informed the vet that her eating and drinking and activity level was normal. She was 10 lbs at the time of getting weighed that day.\n\nAt my new vet I learned that my cat only had tape worms probably from hunting, which is why she looked slightly thinner. The Cheerful vet said nothing to me at all that tape worms might be a cause. A simple medicine to get rid of them was all she needed and has put on weight since. Hundreds of dollars wasted at the Cheerful Vet. \n\nSimple vaccines here are higher than other places. \n\nI finally got sick of overpaying for basic services and have switched vets. I would also like to repeat that everyone here is VERY nice but Dr. Heaslet does not have the best of knowledge or prices here in the community."^^ . "1"^^ . . . "14"^^ . "2015-01-23T00:00:00"^^ .
