At first glance it appears to follow the US model but under closer scrutiny there are a couple of shortcomings. \n\nFirst of all, where is all the merchandise? Isn't it retail sacrilege to leave open shelf space? There was a LOT of empty shelves and missing sizes in garments and shoes. I am not sure where their distribution center is located so there may be some supply issues related the floods, but I was told that these issues preceded the flood as well, so no excuse Target.\n\nAs no surprise Canadians are paying a premium for the exact same thing (which is manufactured in China). For example, a pair of sandals that I saw for 11.99 in the US are $15 here. This percentage of markup is pretty consistent across the board.\n\nI am happy to see Target in Canada because there really was a gap in that niche of department store. It isn't at the level of it's US counterparts but it isn't half bad."^^ . . .
