Because, having good food once somewhere is not a good judge of a restaurant's ability to deliver consistent quality food you can expect at each visit. I am writing again regarding the weekend buffet. It appears from our visit today that the buffet varies slightly from time to time.\n\nPositives: The condiments you get with naan (raita, chutneys, etcetera) are on the buffet so you can help yourself in small bowls to the items you want to have with your food.\nNaan is included with the buffet. The first time we had the garlic naan. This time we had the plain naan. We found the garlic naan to be better. The plain naan today was a bit dry and crumbly and was not hot. Therefore, it was a disappointment compared to our last visit.\nThe mango/yogurt drink was luke warm as opposed to our first visit when it was nice and cold. It tasted the same, but having this drink cold as opposed to room temperature makes all the difference.\nThe first time at the restaurant we were asked if we would like more naan. This time it was not offered. We overheard several tables asking for more naan, so it appears it was the wait staff this time who was not as efficient as the first time we went.\nItems on the buffet (from noon to three on Sundays) needed to be filled when we arrived. The chicken curry has a wonderfully rich sauce (same as last time) and the chicken was tender.\nThe lentil dish was far too runny for our taste.\nThe fried potatoes had been sitting out in the chafing dish for too long and should have been dumped and replaced with an entirely new, crunchy batch.\nThe sliced oranges were nice and cold and very sweet as were the white fresh onions.\nThe fresh tomatoes were nice and ripe, but the fresh cucumbers had huge seeds in them and should have either been cored or not served.\nThe chicken masala was very good, again with a rich spicy sauce.\nThe tandoor chicken was very dry compared to our last visit. My husband and I both agreed it had been cooked too long. We tried several pieces and they were all dry and hard to cut.\nRice is plentiful in a very large rice cooker and you help yourself.\n\nNegative: It appears the quality of the food and service to your table all depend on who is cooking that day or night and who is designed to wait tables that day or night, which creates inconsistency with regard to expectations."^^ .
