Since they have been purchased by cbs, the decline has accelerated. much of the programming is just duplicated from channel 3 to channel 5, especially the news and related stories. sometimes i see the EXACT same story on channel three, then again on channel 5.  seems like there is one programmer for both channels.  it is a shame, since the over the air channels in phoenix are quite limited.  oh well, money is the most important thing around, so...  why not just fire all the local personnel from 3 and use the people from channel 5?  or visa versa?  what?  that is your long term plan!?"^^<http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#string> .
