I was so amazed to see what a beautiful hidden secret lay out in the desert.\nThe nature center was staffed by Mr. John Taylor who was very knowledgeable and helpful with our questions.\nThe preserve is made up of multiple ponds, around which there are paths, viewing stands, and benches.\nWe saw probably 50 kinds of birds: green herons, shovelers, grebes, cinnamon teal ducks, harriers, red tailed hawks, ibis, hummingbirds, verdin, warblers, thrushes, gnat catchers, geese, and more.\nThis is an outstanding place for you to observe nature, if only for a very pleasant walk.\nThe entrance is on Galleria, east of Boulder Highway."^^ .
