After the initial teardown of my walls/ceilings etc, Ground Zero would not start on reconstructing it claiming they were waiting for payment to begin. I told them my insurance company is waiting for their invoice. Meanwhile I'm living in a house that's a complete mess with drywall pieces everywhere, furniture piled up in different rooms, and I have very young children. The week after next I get a call from the insurance company saying they need to send their own adjuster out because the invoice from Ground Zero was outrageously high. Then, one of the employees called my wife and told her to lie to the insurance company because he charged them hours he didn't work. My wife said she was not going to lie for him. Then after two weeks of no progress and telling Ground Zero that I was going to use a different company, they came out to start the reconstruction. Meanwhile every day of their work was a nightmare as my house was covered in dust and dirt which they failed to clean. After they were initially done, I checked their work and noticed it was the worst repair work I have ever seen. The paint did not even match the original color, there were dark and light patches throughout the surfaces, and they left \"boxes\" around all the fixtures. There was one portion of my wall that just had a painted rectangle in the middle of it for no reason. I have an open layout so it's really obvious when paint doesn't match. The supervisor said that he realized the paint he used was different than the original color so he decided to paint one of the adjoining rooms with the same color so it would match. Why would anyone continue to paint with the wrong color?! There were also gaps in the trim along the base of the walls where they had cut and failed to restore. Some of the trim either moved easily or came off. The supervisor made so many excuses for the poor work and was unable to fix what they had done after multiple times. Even the general manager who said he would personally show up to my house did not. I will repair my house myself because I can do a better job than they can even with the manager bragging that the supervisor has 20+ years of experience. I didn't see any of that."^^ . . "1"^^ .
