I was trying to return or even exchange an item that was brand new (never used) still in the box and he was unwilling to take my return. This item was a gift and didn't work when I plugged it in. He stated that the manager had to right to refuse any return. Although it does state that on the receipt, what a terrible way to handle the situation. I was willing to exchange the item for one that was in working condition, but he wouldn't even do that. I'm and regular shopper at harbor freight, but this has really changed my mind on them.\n\nUpdate 6/11/16\nSo I left a review last week about a very poor customer service experience I encountered at this store. Well, I went to the district manager Robert Rosenberger and received some enlightening information. First, Juan Perez lied and is actually only an assistant, not a store manager. Second, The DM agreed that my item was in brand new unused condition, so they accepted my exchange. Well Robert, I appreciate you listing to my concerns and making it right.
