"At times Forequarter is painfully trendy. I once ordered a deconstructed salad that came as an entire lettuce head, grilled, with a meager portion of salad dressing. At times Forequarter can verge on sheer genius, like when they served me a blackened pork belly I will never forget. \n\nHiding in a signless brick building on E Johnson, Forequarter is a neat little restaurant with adventurous chefs and an ever changing seasonal menu. It also might be the most inconsistent restaurant I've been to. Sometimes the meals are amazing and sometimes their just alright. And for the prices that Forequarter demands, it's always slightly insulting when a new recipe doesn't cut it (i'm looking at you grilled lettuce!) \n\nThis restaurant has one of the best cocktail menus in town though. Very fun and inventive stuff (I've never had celery soda before). Their menu on Christmas day is supposedly legendary, but I've never been able to get there early enough for a table."^^ . . . "3"^^ .
