I was the type of mom with the birth plan who wanted no intervention, no drugs and definitely no c-section. I had Dr. Heathcott. Every month, I would go in with my notebook full of questions and what if situations. She is a straight shooter but is really nice. (I had previous losses and was being seen by another high risk doctor too,) At 38 weeks, Dr Heathcott was a bit suspicious of my stress test and sent me for another ultasound... it looked okay so she let me go home. The next week during the stress test she noticed something else in the test and sent me over to be monitored at the hospital... until we did an emergency CS a couple hours later. It turned out that my daughters blood was coming to me instead of back to her. She was white and needed two blood transfusions. The NICU doctors at Shea told me how lucky we were to get her out when we did because she wouldn't have made it 24 more hours. I have a healthy, happy 3 year old because of Dr. Heathcott.\n\n I may have went into her office questioning the intervening ways of many medical doctors but I came out of the hospital forever in her debt. I remember her telling me to hold her hand when the hospital anesthesiologist tried to get spinal tap in FOUR times; she has nerves of steal when it's important. I wish I could use her for all my pregnancies but we moved out of state and it's too risky for me to fly while pregnant (Otherwise I would fly to see her when needed- I trust her that much). Highly Recommend!"^^ . "0"^^ . "5"^^ .
