Unfortunately I can't afford one of those, as awesome as they are.\n\nI am a '01 Mustang owner, and am intent on purchasing a '13 or '14, depending on price and options. I tend to go to an exhaustive extent when researching and making any purchase, and in this relatively more expensive case, I have been looking at new Mustangs for about two years, with more intent to purchase in the past six to eight months.\n\nI used this particular dealership to cut me a new key, as I live less than five miles away, and received a phone call asking about my vehicle, and whether or not I would be interested in trading it in. This is where red flags starting popping up-I told them the Mustang's paint was gone, the tranny was bad, it had a class II oil leak from the rear main, significant damage to the fender, and the EGR system needed to be fixed, yet they still told me they could \"get me a great deal!\" (if that's true, I have a bridge to sell you).\n\nI've driven it into the ground, so I knew I wouldn't get much, but was more interested in purchasing off the lot anyway. We set an appointment to meet with \"Zack\".\n\nI went into Berge knowing the product line, and desiring to get more hands on with the actual car, before making the purchase. I deliberately went in after work, so I'm sure I looked unkempt, but generally on time for the appointment. Zack was not. It appears that this was just a tactic to get me on the floor, which is fine I guess.\n\nI was particularly interested in Sync, and how it worked with my phone. Zack brought me inside, and asked what options I was interested in, to see if they had something available.\n\nThey didn't of course-it existed, but not on their lot. They asked me how much I could afford to pay a month-another sign of ignorance, as I am more interested in total cost of the vehicle. Based on how much I told them, they felt that trying to upsell me to a BOSS 302 or even the GT500 was more my style. I love the Boss, but I can't afford it, and I made that extremely clear.\n\nSo rather than showing me Sync in the Mustang like I asked, Zack took me into one of their F-150's. This is where I really started getting irritated, but I maintained my bearing. He said it was \"basically the same thing\", but it's not-one's a truck and one's a pony car.\n\nOne of Zack's associates popped his head in the cab, and asked about why I was waiting to purchase, which is a fair question-this was back when the 50th anniversary edition could have been released as a 2014, and before the new redesign. I was happy waiting for more news on whether or not that would happen (it's happening with the new design in '15). \n\nThis guy then proceeded to sell me a ridiculous line-despite me telling the both of them I was in the car business, so it's MY JOB to keep up on trends, they told me Ford wasn't redesigning the Mustang. They instead were releasing the \"GT1000\", a 1000 HP Mustang-I knew this was bull because they already existed as Super Snakes and Cobra Jets-there's going to be a Shelby 1000 in 2014, but the redesign is DEFINITELY HAPPENING, and has been old news for some time.\n\nThis is when I left. These people are toxic sellers, and although there's nothing wrong with making money, there is something wrong with lying to customers. This experience happened almost a year ago, yet I still remember how bad of an experience I had. If you're going to spend money on a new vehicle, go somewhere else.\n\nThe only reason this is not 1 star is because the service department isn't so bad, and maybe I got unlucky with who I got paired with. I went to Earnhardt in Chandler and had a completely different and positive experience."^^ . . "2"^^ .
