One thing my money doesn't buy me is respect and compassion. I experinced a death in the family and had to return to my home town ( no Im not from las vegas) I've been gone the entire month, and I'm not sure when I will return, of course in the midst of this conflict the gym was the last thing on my mind, when I did remember I tried to call customer services and see about suspending the account. I was told it has to be done in person and 30 days notice is required which I was aware of, but I thought surely at a time like this there would be something that could be done. I was told simply: no these are the terms and conditions you agreed to when you joined. Such a robotic answer not once was I told Im sorry for your loss. Let me see if there is any way we can help you today. Let me ask my supervisor. Let me check for any loop holes. Just no you need to pay us $300 dollars for two months of you not using the gym and we will continue to charge you because you are not here in person to stop the payments and this is what you agreed to. It just feels cold and unfortunately I will just have to rack up a bill and probably tarnish my credit simply because I'm dealing with a death in my family and I wasnt given 30 days notice that I would lose a family member and have to deal with all the hardship this brings. They couldnt suspend my account over the phone but they did ask to take a payment of at least $150.00 over the phone. Its amazing what can and cant be done considering who stands to benefit."^^ . . .
