The storefront is distinctively old fashioned, their displays and signage haven't changed the entire time I've lived here, the decor is super faded and there has always been a distinct lack of BAKED GOODS IN THE BAKERY.\n\nOver the years I'd heard rumours that somebody saw someone buying a cake, or a pie or cookies but I could never verify these stories.\n\nUntil now.\n\nIt appears that the bakery has been occasionally opening up on weekends and for holidays for the last few months! This was confirmed by my very eyes last weekend when I popped over after going to the Junction Farmer's Market and I couldn't believe what I saw!\n\nThey had counters full of mini-pies, trays upon trays of cookies, pastries and danish! We ordered a half dozen of these deliciously buttery shortbread cookies and a cherry pie to-go. The pie was still warm from the oven! Considering that the only other game in town right now is Bunners, a gluten free bakery, it was a super treat to taste something homemade, fresh and buttery!\n\nThey primarily sell European style cookies, sweets and pies, and seem to be open semi-regularly these days. I heartily encourage you to give them a try."^^ . . "0"^^ . "2013-06-11T00:00:00"^^ . . .
