"This review has been written from the perspective of a business\ntraveler who attended a conference that was hosted by this hotel\nand resided at the hotel during my conference stay.\nThe hotel is located within line of sight of the Toronto airport. That\nmeans that it is approximately a 5 to 6 minute shuttle ride from the\nbaggage claim area to the front door of the hotel. This hotel offers\na free shuttle service to and from the airport. The surrounding area\nadjacent to the hotel is somewhat of a light industrial area that\nis sprinkled with other commonly known hotels. There is a good\nselection of restaurants nearby, however if you are without a car, you\nwill have to hike it for about 15 minutes or so. The restaurant that\nis located inside of the hotel is very attractive which features \ngood menu selection. However, I found it to be a bit pricey. \"Pricy\" is\na matter of perspective. An example of pricy to me is $12.95 for a\nbreakfast bar and $20.00 for soup and salad. Never the less your\noptions are limited if you do not have a car or you are unwilling\nto walk. The hotel in general is attractive and well maintained. The\nlobby and other public areas are well appointed and tastefully\ndecorated. Our conference requirements consisted of the need for one\ncommon gathering area and one smaller localized room for smaller\ngroups. I arrived prior to the conference. This allowed me to review\nthe requested setup arrangements with key persons. I found the staff\nto be very competent and informed concerning our conference needs.\nThis was true in spite of the fact that I arrived on a Sunday, when\nthere is typically a smaller staff available. They seemed to have a\ndedicated staff that was responsible for conference room setup that\nwas not on the job until later Sunday evening. This simply meant that\nif you wished to view the setup of your venue, the earliest that could\noccur is Sunday night providing that your conference started on\nMonday. A bit of an inconvenience, but not a big deal. The\naccommodations were as we requested with the exception of our\nneed for rectangular tables were substituted for round tables.\nWhen I requested an explanation of the matter, I was told that the\nrectangular tables were needed for another event, and they needed to\nsubstitute the round tables. For someone else this might be a major issue. However, I felt that we could live with it. I decided to make due and go along with the plan. As a matter of interest, I was told by a participant after the\nconference that it would have been better to have square tables. (Who\nwould have thought it?). During the conference we experienced times\nwhen the air-conditioning simply did not keep the room cooled down. I will say that when we inquired concerning the problem, a technician was there almost immediately to solve the problem. This problem did occur several times during the conference. In all cases, the problem was rectified immediately, (Even though it did recur). The first improvement that I suggest is that house telephones be made available for the conference areas. When there is a problem such as our air conditioning issue, it was a bit inconvenient to have to walk to the front desk to report the problem.\n\nThe catering for our event was excellent. There was service provided to us three times per day. After learning of certain persons in our class who had special dietary needs, the staff paid special attention to the meeting their needs. \n\nOther very positive aspects of our stay were:\n1) The hotel provided persons to help us package up our unused materials, and prepare it for shipment.\n2) The hotel provided IT personnel for assistance when needed.\n\nConcerning their WIFI access: We found the signal strength to be strong throughout the building.\n\nThe overnight room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The fitness center, pool and sauna were clean, well lighted and up to date with modern equipment, including flat screen monitor/TVs.\n\nOverall, this was a venue that I would return to. If not for the remote location from other restaurants, etc., I might consider a 4 star \"Yelp\" rating."^^ . "1"^^ . . "0"^^ .
