We took full advantage of the now-defunct \"halfy-hour\" specials; great food at a great price.  Kids and parents--uniformly happy.\n\nWe've been planning to have breakfast there, as the menu looked great, but just had not found the time to do it. Finally made it in with the kids, a little treat before school starts this week.  And what a pleasant experience. Not only did we have a nice chat with our waitperson Courtney, but the food was delish.\n\nI had the Tryst omelette; yummy, with mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, and pesto.  Sweet potato tots on the side; these are delightful little nuggets that I could perhaps pop into my mouth all day long, assuming I could keep them warm. One child had a piece of crisp bacon with a giant pancake, and the other had the Belgian waffle. Both were served fruit, and we all had beverages (including fresh-squeezed OJ). And we didn't break the bank.\n\nSome mornings, there's a young guy who stands in the driveway off of Tatum, flashing his Tryst sign.  I wish more people would take advantage of the invitation, especially the Starbucks regulars.  I'm as addicted to my Starcracks as the next gal, but Tryst is a much better alternative if you want real food and not just a hot beverage.\n\nGive Tryst a try, folks. It's inexpensive, delicious, and friendly.
