"As I look at the other reviews It only made it that much easier to write a review on my experience. My wife and I just bought a home and while renovating I had a rep from ADT at my door EVERYDAY! I had contractors in my home painting, installing, and having tile and new carpet put in. Everyday they offered me a new package that only (of course) got better and better and hard to refuse. What sold us was they specifically said we didn't have a contract. I would've of NEVER signed if they did. So as I'm painting and doing things in my home two men stood in my kitchen filling out paperwork. When it was all done they went over a few things with us and had us sign. Now, it's indeed our fault for not reading the paperwork. But I trusted them. We just bought a new house, and had a lot going on. So just this week my wife called to talk about our monthly bill. Seems to keep changing and adding new fees. So we call to talk to someone in customer service and she was quick to let us know that they didn't have anything to do with the charges because it was sold to us by a 3rd party and that we had to reach out to them. So we call them and we were told that we would get a call back from a manager as soon as one came into the office. The next day we received a call from a woman that said she was the VP of ADT and that the paperwork we signed clearly stated that it was a 3 year contract. Now being that I've worked in customer service for 17 years as a store manager, I would NEVER make a customer feel nor talk to a customer the way she did to us. She said we needed to deal with the 3 years or pay the 75% of the bill and we can no longer do business with them if we wish. She was rude, condescending and straight out disrespectful. ADT is a big company and you would think that they would have the decency to speak to their customers with respect. She told us we can call whoever we wish and write whatever reviews we would like. She wouldn't even hear out our question. If I treated my customers in this manner the company I work for wouldn't have me work for them. I'm still in shock in which the matter was taken care of, and I won't be stopping here. I will be making phone calls because I do have the names of the reps We spoke with. Now I understand why I was told not to do business with ADT but the reps that came to my home were nice and friendly. It all sounded good.
