"THAI CURRY FLAVORS OF THE NORTH\n(Warning: young adults from Central Florida in for vacation) Please don't order Phad Thai at this restaurant acclaimed for its Northern Thai cuisine (go straight to the back of the menu). My Kha Nom Jean Nam Ngyow was a more fluid stew of tomatoes, ground pork, and blood chunks over thin noodles. The accompanying lime and cabbages made this very refreshing especially with the slight spiciness tingling my tongue. Hubs took a Crispy Duck in Khao Soi- we worried the curry-based sauce would overwhelm the duck's flavor but it didn't. Instead the outer crispness of the duck, soft and flavorful interior, and creamy sauce all gave a harmony of flavors and textures.\n\nTOP IT OFF WITH DESSERT AND GOOD PRICES\nThe crispy eggroll dessert (creamy bananas wrapped in a thin shell drizzled with honey) was too much for us to finish. We were stuffed and the pricing here was excellent- very, very similar to many Thai restaurants... which is a special feat when you consider how close it is to the Strip and its outrageous prices.\n\nCASUAL ATMOSPHERE WITH FRIENDLY SERVICE\nLotus's interior is larger than it looks with most seats filled during our Tuesday night visit. And it's super casual- all kinda of people in all kinds of dress were inside. As others have mentioned, Lotus is located in a huge plaza filled with other casual eateries however there was something about the appearance that would caution me not to wander around there alone."^^ .
