"Managing Expectation or pushing employees to competitors? \n\nSo I've been job hunting and as the usual process goes, I've contacted several agencies, applying myself directly, networking and basically doing everything I can together. \n\nHowever I had a terrible first experience at Lannick. (and second). I am an experienced person looking for a permanent job. I am realistic and I have researched on what i can and cannot get. Upon my first interview with Lannick I was made to feel like I was some student and maybe a tim hortons person could get a better job than i could. I felt quite down by the time I left.\n\nLuckily I had several agencies to meet and I got nothing but positive interactions with the other 4 agencies and several more during the week. In my mind I had cancelled Lannick off the list and had not even thought about looking for positions available through their company. \n\nIn two weeks i started getting responses from my applications and had two interviews setup and a third in the works and Lannick decided to call. \n\nI was told she had a position in mind for me but would like some details on my previous experience. Thinking nothing off it I started telling her about my experience and what I could and could not do and this girl started arguing and telling me how could i be doing this duty if I did that etc etc. To my surprise by the end of the call I found myself trying to prove what my job duties were to this freaking idiot who clearly was not good at her job. Communication skills = FAIL.\n\nAfter the whole fiasco of defending myself and trying to prove myself she told me I was not suited for the job. I didn't even bother to be nice or anything i just said thank you and hung up.\n\nMy Impression = They think too much of themselves and as if they are doing me a favor by giving me a job. They are an agency and I'll simply take my business elsewhere which I did! Also in the process of managing expectations they are just driving potential employees such as myself away. Next time I need a job ofcourse I'll not return and of course will not recommend to anyone either.\n\nSTAY AWAY AWAY AWAY"^^ . . "3"^^ . . "24"^^ . .
