"Summary: A broad-based museum with something to catch the fancy of most people.\n\nKnow that I spent too much time as an elementary student looking at boring dioramas in natural history museums. So the idea of going to one doesn't excite me.\n\nThe Goods:\n- The breadth of collection.\n- The gemstone/minerals section. It's extensive. And lots of colorful, sparkly things. Zone out in the relatively dark spaces...\n- Dinosaur bones.\n- Facades of some notable architecture.\n- Great for a family. Find things your kids are interested in, and focus on that area, plus one more. That will make for a great family outing (not too long because you try and see it all.)\n\nThe Bads:\n- Needs more interactive exhibits and areas. \n- Could use some better story telling to create some drama around several exhibits. \n\nThe Uglies:\n- Parking is a pain.\n- Tough to navigate. I have never gotten from A to B in the museum without getting lost.\n- Hard to find a place to rest and rejuvenate. Forget the caf\u00E9 if you come on an evening the museum is open late.\n\nBottom line: If my kids weren't grown, I would take them several times to explore an area or two each time. As an adult with low interest in Natural History: I went. I saw. I'm done."^^ . "0"^^ . . . "2016-03-15T00:00:00"^^ . "1"^^ .
