I made the mistake of giving this place a chance and highly suggest YOU DO NOT try this out ; unless you are willing to take big risks with your skin and hair. Like many others here, I purchased a Groupon for $35 that was to include either a full colour / highlights, haircut, intensive conditioning and style. \n\nFlag # 1 - Owner picks up phone and sounds very rude and condescending. I ignore it and was asked to come in for an appointment at 11:30 am yesterday and I showed up at 11:15 am. Instructor # 1 (African American lady) immediately tells me no students has shown up today and doesn't care if I have a 11:30 am appointment. Flag # 2 - She tells me very nonchalantly I have to wait until someone comes in and she doesn't know when. I ask her to call the owner - she raises her voice and refuses to contact her or anyone else - 'as it's not her business'. I wait around since I took the day off, a student happens to turn up at 12:30 pm. Flag # 3 - After waiting foro over an hour now (no apology yet), I then was informed they don't have the hair colour I want. They tell me their 'color man' is not too far and will bring it by - he turns up close to 1:00 pm. I am then seated with what seemed to be a relatively new student who started to work on my hair. Flag # 4 - my scalp starts itching like no other product I have ever used in my life, including box color. I am surprised because you see Igora ads everywhere but they use a line by - Sabrina hair colors. By the time she finished coloring my hair, it is now 3:00 pm - this resulted in a horrendous (I am not exaggerating) result where the bottom of my hair is now black and the top of my head is red (life the colour of yelp logo red). I was devastated but tried to keep my cool, until of course the student blames my hair for the uneven tone, and then starts mentioning because I've used box colour, keratin treatment more than 2 plus years ago etc. Her excuses if what eventually led me to blow up right there. If they've made a mistake and that does happen - take accountability and correct it. Don't blame the customer for their stupidity. Meanwhile, instructor # 1 has left for the day and instructor # 2 (Caucasian) steps in to give her opinion on what should have been done instead. Explaining this to all her 6 or 7 students. Some of them are trying to convince me that it looks really good. Instructor # 2 refuses to fix or correct the situation and informs me either the owner or Instructor #1 is to correct this as she will not touch it. \n\nBoth had already left for the day. It is now 4:30 pm. She calls the owner who says that I should go in today to fix it. Owner refuses to talk directly with me and communicates with Instructor # 2 and says I should come in at 11:00 am. I tell her I am not going to wait 2 hours again, so will come in at 1:00 pm. She asks me to call the owner. I call more than 20 times - she does not answer the phone and her voicemail is full. I advise Instructor# 2 that I will see them at 1:00 pm. At least Instructor # 2 is apologetic and feels terribly for the mess on my head which is a humiliation. I go home to people asking me if the person that did my hair had severe visual impairment? I have seriously never had such a bad outcome of color on my hair and I have gone to various salons over the last 20 years.\n\nToday, Day 2 - I arrive at 12:45 pm for the appointment, instructor # 1 seems surprised I'm there and apparently was not told anything and REFUSES to do my hair to correct it, even though both the owner and Instructor # 2 strictly confirmed she was to correct the mess since the colours were mixed incorrectly. By now, I am livid and outdid her arrogance. Again, the owner is not answering my calls. I leave her a voice mail. After a lot of finger pointing (this seems to be very common there) eventually the owner shows up at 2:00 pm. Their suggestion is I go back to my original hair color. I try to reason with them as to it is now 7 hours of wasted time and I am pretty much walking out of there exactly with the colour I walked in yesterday SO WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THIS ENTIRE thing?\n\nThe owner tells me to decide 1) I get a refund or 2) I go back to original color. You would think out of basic courtesy they would do both because a) you've screwed my hair and scalp, insisting I go back to my original color and so I don't have any color change on m y hair and b) I HAVE SPENT 7 hours of my life in your salon. \n\nI agree to go back to original because I can't stand going around looking like a flaming bird in the sun. However, after spending 4 more hours today - the top of my head is still red and the bottom is a dark brown. Again I was told, they can't understand what's wrong with my hair. I had enough and stormed out of there.\nThe owner has NOT ONCE apologized."^^ . "2014-06-19T00:00:00"^^ . "0"^^ .
