It was my 65th birthday and we were on our way to celebrate Wicked at Gammage. Despite it being slammed, the hostess quickly sat us at a table. Alex, shadowed by trainee, Cassandra, appeared, waters in hand, asking us what we wanted to order... \nWedge salad, tomato soup and a brisket sandwich, and, hands down, the best crisp fried chicken in between red velvet waffle quarters. The salad wasn't a wedge and lettuce, unchilled, was unremarkable. A bit of cr\u00E9me fraiche swirled atop a homemade tomato soup accompanied a blah lukewarm brisket on toasted Texas bread. On the other hand, don't miss the flavorful red velvet waffle surrounding freshly fried chicken. \nAlex brought the tab promptly along with to go boxes. He offered this new senior citizen a dessert to go - bacon cream frosting - mmmmm. As we left, Alex suggested arriving about 90 minutes before any Gammage event. Good advice. \nService - 5, Food - 3. Overall - 3+."^^ . .
