. "This bar is far from a hidden gem. Everyone knows it and at least bits of its history. As a live Venue - it's ideal. An amazing sound system, well booked artists - easy access to the bar. Good site lines...some of the best shows I've seen in my life have been at that this place. For those who have access to attending the Shoe at least semi-frequently for shows, it has certainly become part of the fabric of their memories and who they are. That's the truth, Ruth.\n\nNow, where this place also shines is as a bar. Good drinkers know that there is a special part of the day - that part in which the sunlight goes from being at it's apex to turning down to the side of dusk...but there are still hours left. The time of day where regulars who have stories to tell and have lived interesting lives..a good amount of those lives on a bar stool. A noble bar stool. The Horseshoe is a perfect oasis for these moments, to have a quiet drink, partake in a conversation, or just escape the hoards of ugly faces turning your heart black stare by stare at your job or on the street. This place is for people: you'll see a semi-homeless dude, a window cleaner, a retired solider, a couple of tourists, bar staff from another joint, some pool playing ladies...perhaps even a suit or two - it's dynamic. A lot of the other bars in this city seem to have organically adopted the gentle beard/scarf dress code.\n\n Go here and tip if you can."^^ . . . "0"^^ . "2013-01-02T00:00:00"^^ . "5"^^ . "4"^^ .
