AVOID. \n\nWe were really - and I mean - REALLY excited about this location opening because it's so much closer to us. \n\nWe have been obsessed with their food for years. We were always at the Dilworth location, followed them to Park rd, and we've even hosted big parties at Matthews. Matthews location just catered a family event for us a few weeks ago and they did a great job. \n\nBut. Oh. My. No! \n\nThe uptown location needs an intervention STAT or it's going to fail. We certainly won't be back until we hear that there's been an overhaul. \n\nFront of house needs major help - I don't think this is an experienced staff. No one seems to understand BASICS of customer service, or just even basics of good manners. \n\nTry to remember that you're in the hospitality industry and your customers pay a premium so they can enjoy food and a fun experience. Learn some basics about how to speak to customers, try not to talk over them repeatedly, or raise your voice at them when they try to ask a question. \n\nAlso, if you happen to see or hear a co-worker not treating customers well, maybe step in, and tell them to take a break. The complete lack of professionalism that just seems to be ok with everyone is troubling. \n\nAnd it is intimidating to ask someone who seems so agitated to accommodate you for fear they'll spit in your food. Never mind complaining about your food. I think a lot of people will be one timers at this location and never come back. \n\nAs a rule, maybe don't tell your customers \"no\" like you're talking to children, when they ask for a substitution they've gotten for over ten years simply because you don't want to or are afraid to check with the kitchen. \n\nThe kitchen needs help as well. I've eaten this food many, many, many times, over many years at the other two locations, and the uptown location isn't executing them as well. \n\nThere is just an overall lack of flavor, textures are off, things are little greasy, etc... could be just our couple of experiences but we've eaten both lunch and dinner here on weekend and mid-week and it's been the same issues.\n\nWe ordered a take-out dessert that came with a strawberry on the side - the strawberry was covered in mold. I threw it out immediately but I wish I'd taken a photo to post. \n\nEither the desserts were sitting in their containers for days and days or someone stuck a moldy strawberry in there knowingly. Because there was no way not to see it. And it also means that the person who put it in the bag didn't bother to look at it either. \n\nIt's absolutely unacceptable all-around. They need to start over here."^^ . "1"^^ . "3"^^ .
