"2013-12-20T00:00:00"^^ . "This review is long overdue but, in my opinion, so worth sharing.\n\nFirst of all, I've never been a fan of this store (Lake Shore and Thirteenth) as the staff aren't friendly and it just seems dirty in there. My husband, however, would pop in all the time to pick up items like luncheon meat, cigarettes (he smoked back then), bread, etc.\n\nWell, he learned his lesson because, back in April, 2012, he went over to pick up a few things (as usual). After he paid (via debit), he realized that he didn't buy a plastic bag so, because he didn't have small change on him and, because he goes there often, asked the clerk if he could have a bag as he didn't drive - I'm talking about ONE PLASTIC BAG that equals FIVE CENTS. The clerk actually refused to give him a bag so my husband said that he would pay for a few bags with his debit card. Somehow that enraged the clerk so much that he went ballistic and yelled at my husband, \"you need to show me respect when you are in my store!\" My husband said, \"you need to be respectful to me as I'm the customer and you're the merchant. I'm your bread and butter.\"\n\nWhen my husband got home, he seemed obviously upset about the incident because a couple of neighbours that we don't know too well were there and witnessed the whole thing. He gathered his thoughts and said he would go back and try to make amends with this clerk. Anyway, he took my car and drove over. When he pulled up, the same clerk ran out and took a photo of my license plate and then, get this, said he was going to call the police. My husband, who is a professional in his field (completely looks the part), told the clerk he'd wait outside and talk to the police himself. When the police arrived, the clerk lied to them and said that my husband was threatening him and then started knocking over the pies and \"disrespecting\" him in the store. He also said that he planned to \"ban\" my husband from returning to ANY Rabba store in the city. Not surprisingly, the police pretty much sided with my husband and told the clerk to cool down as there was no real evidence of anything, especially knocking pies over. \n\nThe following week, we called head office and they offered to review the security camera footage and get back to us. Despite our attempts to reach them again, they refused to return calls. We even wrote two detailed letters to Victor Rabba himself but, he too, refused to acknowledge them - says a lot about his character ..."^^ . "1"^^ . . . . "3"^^ . "0"^^ . "7"^^ .
