We were happily surprised when we didn't need to pay a corkage fee! It is always great to bring a nice bottle of wine from home and refrain from paying the ridiculous markup that some restaurants charge. Soo.... you're saying I can pay $50 for a bottle of wine I can get at the supermarket for $16. \nThe service is poor to average. Our server was attentive, but seemed bored when he was talking care of us. He didn't really want to explain the menu to us and was hurried. The ambiance isn't great. It's very family friendly but it's definitely a hole in the wall. The owner is sweet and he makes the rounds to every table hob nobbing with the regulars and greeting the newbies. \nThe food itself is the star here which it should always be. We got the spaghetti with meat sauce and the chicken parmigiana. The spaghetti was cooked well, and was delicious. The chicken parmigiana was pretty good, although there were parts that were a bit stringy. The desert was the best part. Home made and yummy. The cannoli was good and reminded me of some of the best cannolis I've had in New York, and the tiramisu while not the most stylish of presentations was yummy. \nThat tiramisu is probably the best representation of the place as a whole. Not really appealing to look at but filled with soul. Also it cost $55 to eat for 2 people with apps, entrees, and desserts. So that rocks. They only take cash so be warned, Amex will not save you."^^ . . "3"^^ . "1"^^ .
