I live in a single unit here, I pay my rent on time for the most part and yea I'm a good tenant lol (all the stories about bugs are true btw) around 4 months till my lease is up I get this major leak in my ceiling which cause a panel to come down from the air vent. The panel is literally wider than the air vent itself. The air vent with the filter works to circulate clean air throughout your home basically so imagine this big whole with nothing there and when I turn my a.c. on ( which its vegas its hot you have to use your a.c) all that dirty air is just circulating. My apartment not only became a health hazard but a daily annoyance and strugle and guess what ? They did nothing ! I went to the office countless times and got some fake we will get it done ! The maintenance guys here ride around on bikes go to liquor stores and do nothing. I have pictures of that and my apartment and with the voice recordings of each time I went and even explained to there uneducated asses how dangerous it is to not have anything under that hole. Now ! The good part :) ... About a month ago I went to speak with a lawyer and come to find out, I HAVE ENOUGH TO BUILD A CIVIL SUIT AGAINST THESE GUYS ! Now they made this way to easy. I even holded out to see will they try to fix this with me, like give me free rent or let me move out with out paying them or honestly anything to help. THEY HAVENT ... My case goes into effect by the end of September and I honestly already am planning how im going to spend the money I make off this case lol seriously they made this process way to easy. I've never sued anyone ever because I thought it was difficult. But long story short. Do not move here, if the rent is payable for you and that's why you come, don't ! Just hold it out step your hustle up and cough up and extra 50 bucks a month and stay somewhere else ! I seriously want to see these apartments get torn down. But that will only happe.
