"I put an ad out on Thumbtack looking for a landscaping service to install rock, plants, and artificial turf as well as some plant removal and cleanup. I ended up hiring Jesus for multiple jobs. That grey area between affordable labor and real horticultural /landscaping knowledge? Jesus is the only guy in 16 years I've encountered that meets those requirements. Extremely professional, thorough and talks you through things you don't know about/completely understand very politely, and offers great advice. He has a bachelors in horticulture as well, so he cares about his work, and is very knowledgable. Apparently he does pavers/tile/brick work, too.
