"My wife and I decided to do a mini staycation, and visit local retail coffee roasters outside of our home town, and then share our experiences.\n\nThis coffee shop was second on our list, and was a big disappointment from its uninviting entrance (with only 2 chairs) to its dark, cluttered and dirty interior.\n\nThe interior was eclectic from its 1930's wood bar background, to its unorganized machines, to its perfectly displayed danishes. The floors were dirty with dust everywhere, and when my wife and I wanted to play chess, we discovered the rook was missing! Arggg!\n\nThe Akron store had the smallest roster we have ever seen, and when we inquired if they roast their own beans, were told no; they used to, but the smoke it generated was too much.\n\nMy wife's decaf drip coffee had a nasty aftertaste, while my decaf skinny carmel macchiato definitely had a funky taste! I think it was the syrup?\n\nAll this was observed and experienced while a surreal, moody electronic New Age music played in the background.\n\nWe always thought the character or \"flavor\" of a coffee shop was reflected in the name they choose to represent them. In this case, they should have chosen, \"The Dirty Dog\"!"^^ . "1"^^ .
