"I really wanted to love Body Heat.\n\nThey are close to home, have a good registration system online for classes, and had a fantastic deal - $10 for 10 days of classes to try out the studio. Plus, they're clean!\n\nI registered on their website, purchased my 10 days for $10 deal, and signed up for my first class. I arrived 15 minutes prior to class time however there were a few gals who had not preregistered online so the front desk team was assisting them. As I stood there, I was reading a memo to clients about how Body Heat would be increasing their monthly rate and hoping their clients would understand as this is the first time they would be doing a rate increase. When it came time to assist me, I was herded in like the rest of the regulars. Since it was my first time, I was a bit perplexed on where to go as I did not know where anything was.\n\nI took a few classes at Body Heat and every time that I arrived, I made it a point to let them know that I was on a 10-day pass and am new to the studio hoping they would point things out or give me a tour. Each time I was disappointed. On my last day, I was registered to attend a class that evening and I also received an email letting me know that if I purchased an autopay membership within the 10-day trial then I would get a special rate my first month. I wanted to take advantage of the rate, but my past few experiences did not sit well with me so I decided to call them. \n\nA woman answered the phone and I let her know that I would love to take advantage of the special rate, however I have not had a positive experience beside a class that I took. I explained to her that each time I came, I mentioned I was new to the studio and felt herded in each time. I explained that on one occurrence, I had picked up one of their complimentary wash cloths at the desk. After class ended, the basket outside of the class for soiled wash cloths had disappeared so I walked it back up to the desk. Another woman saw me with the washcloth and told me to \"You just put it in the basket back there.\" I let her know that the hamper was gone and I did not see another one. She responded with annoyance, \"Then put it in another one in the back!\" I let the woman on the phone know that while I wanted to sign up, their studio had not given me much customer service incentive to pay them a pretty decent amount of money each month. She asked me what I wanted her to do. I let her know that I was signed up for a class that evening, when she proceeded to cut me off and put me on hold. After being on hold for nearly 5 minutes, she picked the phone back up and said that there was a long check in line. She asked for my name and phone number and let me know that a manager would be calling me back. After not receiving a call back for the entire day, I cancelled my sign-up for that evening and decided that Body Heat would not be getting any more money from me.\n\nMy favorite class that I attended during my time there was a Power Vinyasa Yoga class with Greg Holmes. Greg is a fantastic instructor that will guide you to do your best.\n\nTips if you are new to the studio:\n- Preregister online and come early.\n- Wear comfortable clothes that aren't too loose. The instructors will come around and correct your form if needed.\n- Bring your own yoga mat and full length towel.\n- Get a Hydroflask (your own water bottle) and take that with you ;)\n- Be open to adjustments from the instructors and practice safely.\n- Have fun with it and don't forget to breathe!"^^ . .
