"Was absolutely thrilled about discovering a new boba shop, but Urban you sure have some fixin' up to do.\n\nFirst off, a little background where I'm from we have about 5 boba shops in one shopping plaza it's almost equivalent to the amount of restaurants. So I would like to think I know a bit about milk tea, boba and the like to a certain extent. With the rave reviews and the place located in the Shops at Norterra, it was promising Urban Boba would push out great drinks in a beautiful location.\n\nI decided to test them out by getting a Lavender flavored Milk Tea, Iced with Boba. About $4 for a 16 ounce and 50 cents for add-ons so my drink came out to be around $5 with tip. Took awhile for them to make the drink, maybe 5 minutes as there were people before me.\n\nThe verdict on the drink: sweet diabetic baby, the drink is sugar laden. I'm pretty sure when I took my first sip it was pure simple syrup and boba. Puzzled, I gave the drink a stir and found that it didn't help. The Milk Tea was lightly flavored with lavender, way too sweet. Boba was sickly sweet, but chewy. Seriously, this was if someone put half a cup of simple syrup into the drink and filled it with milk, boba and ice to the top. Definitely not worth it, drank half and couldn't handle the tooth pains I was getting from the sweetness. \n\nPlace was pretty much empty and they have ample seating inside, they play Top 40s on Spotify and have big open windows.\n\nNot sure what the rave reviews here are all about and definitely not the best place I've had for boba in the Valley. Perhaps asking them to make it unsweetened might do the trick?"^^ . "9"^^ . .
